Posting Numbers on Blog and Forums

I’ve decided to only post my 52dc numbers on the forums once a week and to forget about using the spreadsheet.  Between those two things and the blog (+family, work, friends…blah blah blah), it’s way to much for me and making it so the challenge is not fun.

Diet has been good.  Workouts have been good.  Had a great weekend too.  Went on a bike ride with my wife and daughters and went to the climbing gym for a little fun.   I should be getting two more strength routines in this week along with two more cardio routines.

I still haven’t rode my bike to the Metrolink…it’s been raining.  But Friday is supposed to be sunny and I’ll ride it on that day.  My television and PC gaming has been cut down dramatically.  The only thing I can’t miss are live Lakers games and 24….and Terminator - Sarah Conner Chronicles.

So here are my numbers

Goals:

CE: 12/80
RT: 3/20
CT: 1/15

PG1: Lose 10 lbs
PG2: Only eat lunch out 1 day a week (brown bag the rest)
PG3: Ride my bike to the Metrolink station at least once a week
PG4: Limit PC Gaming to 4 hours a week
PG5: Limit TV viewing to 15 hours per week.

Finally got some cardio in!

I really wanted to get in a cardio session on Thursday (2/12) but I worked all day and didn’t get home till late.  Decided to make up for it by doing a session after my strength routine yesterday, Friday (2/13).  Nothing special…a 30 minute interval session on the eliptical.

My diet has been good since Wednesday.  Today is Valentine’s day.  Nothing special planned with the wife.  I bought some veal shanks earlier this week and am planning on making osso bucco this evening and have some red wine.  I haven’t decided whether or not to include the carrots in the recipe.  It calls for one diced carrot and I don’t think it’s a big deal…we’ll see.   Doing the TNT diet for the last year, I’ve discovered I’m not very carb sensitive.  Usually if I have a lapse in the diet, I can jump right back on and not worry about it.

RT: 2/20
CT: 1/15

Day 1 Down!

So far so good…

I ate clean all day yesterday and did my strength routine.  Today I’m going to try and get a cardio session in.  I got a good hill by my house that I like to sprint up and walk down or I might go to the climbing gym and use their eliptical trainer before I climb a little.

Food for yesterday:

Breakfast - Leftover low carb lasagna my wife make with eggplant and squash instead of pasta.  It’s really good and filling.

Snack - string cheese and a piece of jerky

Lunch - This one was a little tricky.  My work had a get together celebration at a nearby Mexican restaraunt.  It was buffet style so….I had chicken and beef fajita meat, salad without the croutons and shrimp enchiladas (i only ate the shrimp and cheese inside the enchiladas).  There were probably some carbs in the dressing and echilada filling but I’ll consider it a clean lunch.

Snack - celery and a tblspn of PB.

Dinner - ham and mashed cauliflower

Plenty of H20 through out the day.

2 More Days to Go!

I’m really looking forward to this challenge.  I’ve been following the TNT program since Feb-Mar 2008 so I’ve definitely lost weight and fat but I’ve gone lax in the last few weeks.  The 52dc is a perfect reason for me to get back on track.

My goals are:

CE: 80/104
RT: 20
CT: 15

PG1: Lose 10 lbs
PG2: Only eat lunch out 1 day a week (brown bag the rest)
PG3: Ride my bike to the Metrolink station at least once a week
PG4: Limit PC Gaming to 4 hours a week
PG5: Limit TV viewing to 15 hours per week
